Our Mission

The Fox Point Senior Center was established in September of 1972. Our mission is to provide seniors and individuals with disabilities a daily hot meal, health and wellness programs, information and referral programs, translation services and individual attention as needed (i.e. assistance with public paperwork, medication set-up and so on).

Our Staff

We currently maintain one employee, Melanie Borges, as Director. We utilize member volunteers, community business volunteers, and are a SER employment placement site to provide operational and program support and services to up to 75+ unique individuals per week

Our programs are provided by the above, and local businesses such as:

  • Pascarella Grill
  • individual professional providers as in-kind donations, donated services, discounted services and purchased services.

Our Funding

We are funded via the City of Providence Community Development Block Grant and other grants; as well as individual service donations.
